Job Summary
As N.I leading Private Ambulance Company, we are looking to increase our Ambulance crews with Ambulance Care Attendants (ACAs) to join our team in providing compassionate care and support to patients attending hospital appointment, discharged home etc The role involves assisting with vulnerable service users with varying needs and ensuring the well-being cared for whilst being transported to various hospitals and clinics as well as discharging patients home.
Responsibilities
- Full clean driving license required and been driving at least 3 years out of R plates
- Working as part of a 2 person crew helping vulnerable adults and children to various hospitals etc throughout N.I.
- Demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide appropriate care
- Providing transportation for clients as needed N.I
- Performing basic life support procedures when required
- Assisting with physical examinations under the supervision of medical staff
- Utilising aseptic techniques to maintain cleanliness and prevent infections
- Applying knowledge of medical terminology in documentation and communication
- Engaging in heavy lifting tasks to aid clients with mobility
- Supporting triage processes during emergencies
- FREC 3 is required and would prefer you to have done course although we can accommodate self funded training for the correct candidates
- Experience within the caring sector preferred
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Full clean driving license with No Penalty points
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties
- Proficiency in basic life support techniques and a valid FREC 3 certificate
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques for infection control
- Understanding of medical terminology for effective communication
- Capability for heavy lifting tasks
- Prior experience in the caring sector
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 12.26-12.50 per hour
