Job Description

If you have a basic engineering or mechanical background, then we are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join us as an Anaerobic (AD) Plant Operative.

The Anaerobic Digestion facility contributes directly to renewable energy and environmental sustainability and in this role, you will be hands on working with plant machinery, equipment maintenance and process monitoring to ensure optimal performance on the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the operation, monitoring, and control of the anaerobic digestion plant Conduct routine maintenance and basic mechanical repairs on pumps, valves, conveyors, and other plant equipment Carry out site inspections and report faults or irregularities Monitor feedstock levels, digestate output, and gas production Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards Keep accurate records of operational data and maintenance activities Assist with cleaning and general upkeep of the facility

What We're Looking For

Basic mechanical or engineering experience (e.g., working with pumps, motors, or pipework) A practical, hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset Good understanding of health & safety practices Comfortable working in an industrial environment Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Previous experience in anaerobic digestion, waste management, or utilities (desirable but not essential) Full UK driving licence (essential)

What We Offer

Competitive salary of 33,000 - 37,000pa and this will depend on the level of experience you will bring to the role Two-week rota system - Week 1- Monday to Sunday 0830-1730hrs (with on call) Week 2- Wednesday- Friday 0830-1730hrs. (With a 60-minute unpaid break).
