Responsibilities:

  • Help with accounting duties for the department.
  • Maintaining and developing desk information systems and applications.
  • Monitoring of client risk.
  • Liaise with middle office to set up new client allocation accounts along with other Marex entities for Exchange clearing access.
  • Assist with on boarding of new clients, working closely with the internal documentation and brokerage teams.
  • Assist in the process of setting up new DEA clients, working closely with the back office and trade support departments.
  • Working with existing sales team to help with new business opportunities and new prospective clients.
  • To assist with the Relationship Management of existing clients.
Ad hoc business projects, e.g., operational efficiency, regulatory change, client demand, system development
Skills & Experience:
Looking for a highly motivated person with the ability to work as part of a team, whilst gaining the experience to act autonomously and to directly engage with clients.
Experience in an analytical role and confidence to pass regulatory exams if not already qualified.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal Marex teams including operations, risk, trade support, legal and financial crime.
  • Professionalism and competence to discuss with senior management on client queries.
  • Good presence of mind when dealing speaking with clients and providing timely solutions.
  • A sound and practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook is essential. VBA for Excel would also be preferable.
  • Strong Microsoft Access database management and knowledge/SQL.
  • An understanding of market risk and the ability to converse with Risk Teams when discussing client risk profiles.
  • Ability to understand and discuss with clients standard Marex legal agreements.
  • Keen will to learn and constantly improve current knowledge.
