Job Description

Macquarie Asset Management Private Credit portfolio of debt investments spans a number of industry sectors and geographies (predominantly the US, UK and continental Europe), with a particular focus on renewable energy (solar and wind), utility assets (water, gas and electricity), traditional infrastructure assets (roads, rail, and airports), as well as digital infrastructure, social housing, real estate and an increasing exposure to core plus infrastructure.

What role will you play?

We are seeking a finance, banking or investment professional to join the Portfolio Monitoring Team. In this role you will work very closely with the origination and investment professionals across the business and take ownership of monitoring and managing a defined pool of assets within the portfolio. This will include reviewing financial models and assumptions, covenanted deliverables within the debt structure (eg. analysis of financial statements and ratios, operating reports and ESG reporting), as well as credit rating assessments. In addition, you would support waiver and consent processes, analysing changes to the risk profile of an investment and prepare clear summaries of a proposal. An ability to be agile across multiple workstreams such as key portfolio reporting, adhoc projects and written investor communications, is also an important capability.



What you offer

An understanding of, and ability to interpret, financial statements and cash flows Prior experience of preparing memorandums and/or reports covering financial analysis, sector or asset/company specific analysis or macroeconomic topics Knowledge of traditional debt characteristics and how to approach a credit risk assessment of mid to long-term private debt market positions Exposure to (or an understanding of), infrastructure asset characteristics would be favourable Strong communication skills, including the ability to decipher and articulate key issues in a clear and concise manner (written and verbal) Experience reviewing and working with financial models An understanding of due diligence requirements, or how to verify key assumptions from independent sources and/or advisors (eg. legal, technical and financial) Background and knowledge of debt documentation would be a positive
