Team Overview:

the team is focused on the implementation of LaSalle's European sustainability strategy which primarily focuses on decarbonization and resilience as well as other areas such as the circular economy and nature/biodiversity. The team manages sustainability for a portfolio of approximately $22bn to protect and enhance investment returns for clients from around the globe.



Role and Accountabilities:

As an Analyst in this team, you will be working alongside LaSalle employees across Europe in the implementation of the European sustainability strategy. Key responsibilities include:



Data Strategy & Change Management:



Act as the primary point of contact for sustainability-related data and support LaSalle Europe's digital transformation project



Work collaboratively with global and regional stakeholders to support the implementation of LaSalle's sustainability data strategy, providing guidance and best practices for sustainability data management.



Support the development of a clear change management approach to ensure orderly and systematic transitions when rolling out new (data) processes and solutions.



Data Quality & Integrity:



Direct third parties (including property managers, external consultants etc.) in ensuring timely, accurate and complete sustainability data collection; supported by Sustainability Associate/ Vice President on engagement front.



Conduct data quality reviews to identify and address errors and outliers



Ensure proper data governance of sustainability data with external partners



Data Visualization, Analytics & Insights:



Support the team in using statistical techniques and data visualization tools (such as the 'Investment Plan') to explore and analyse large datasets and identify patterns, trends, and correlations to extract meaningful insights for investment teams.



Communicate analysis findings and complex data concepts through visually appealing and interactive charts, graphs, and dashboards to tell a coherent data story for investment professionals.



Client and fund support:



Assist fund managers with formulating sustainability strategies and client reporting.



Support with co-ordination of sustainability programmes, especially with contract signing and invoicing.



Support completion of RFPs and investor sustainability queries by keeping internal library of stock responses up to date.



Support the collection and validation of data for the annual GRESB submissions.



Creation and update of sustainability materials (client presentations, case studies, etc. ) used to communicate LaSalle's sustainability activities to existing and prospective clients based in Europe.



Required Qualifications & Experience:



0 - 2 years' experience.



BSc or ideally a master's degree in an analytical discipline, preferably Property, Engineering, Science, Data Analytics, Finance or Sustainability related.



Knowledge and understanding of the real estate investment industry and the principles of sustainability.



Previous work experience in real estate or sustainability, demonstrating a proven track record of data analytics, management and modelling.



Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills for complex data analysis and modelling. Experience with Power BI, VBA, and/or Python is a strong plus but is not a requirement for the role



An analytical approach with a strong attention to detail.



Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.



Good team player with excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.



Fluency in English is required. Professional working proficiency in German is highly preferred (if based in Munich)
