BearingPoint Capital is seeking Analysts to join our global M&A team in London, specifically within our Technology Due Diligence service.


As part of BearingPoint Capital, you will have the opportunity to fast-track your career in a start-up-like environment within a large organisation, gaining competencies and skills through a wide variety of challenging M&A projects for top-tier clients. Our client base is rapidly expanding and includes Private Equity firms, family offices, corporates, and strategic investors.


Our M&A service offerings are designed for companies where technology is central to the business strategy and investment thesis. You will join a highly skilled and driven team working on both local and international engagements. We are looking for high-performing candidates with a passion for technology to support our clients in technology due diligence and tech-enabled M&A advisory,

distinct from corporate finance or valuation work

.


This role is for an immediate start pending any notice periods with current employers. We will run a separate application process for the class of 2026.

Your primary tasks will include:




Technology Due Diligence Support:

Assist in the execution of buy- and sell-side technology due diligence engagements. This includes gathering and analysing data on IT strategy, architecture, infrastructure, and organisational capabilities to support senior team members.

Product Due Diligence:

Support the assessment of product strategy, roadmap, and functional/ feature differentiation as part of broader due diligence engagements, helping clients understand product maturity (versus competitors) and alignment with business goals.

Technical Execution

: Contribute to the preparation of client-ready materials such as management presentations, one-pagers, and technology assessments. Support the analysis of KPIs, customer data, and operational metrics to generate meaningful insights.

Process Coordination:

Help prepare virtual data rooms, track deliverables across workstreams (e.g. legal, financial, tax, commercial), and maintain tight turnaround on materials and information requests during the deal process.

Client Engagement Preparation

: Support the preparation of pitches, RFPs, and presentation materials. Participate in client meetings by taking notes and assisting with delivery, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Tool & Platform Fluency

: Use tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, CapIQ, PitchBook, and virtual data room platforms (e.g. Intralinks, Datasite) to support diligence coordination and process tracking.

Practice Development:

Contribute to local and global practice development activities, including refining methodologies and tools. Support business development efforts by preparing proposals and participating in strategic planning.

Continuous Learning

: Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices. Pursue relevant certifications and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Team Collaboration

: Foster a collaborative team environment by supporting peers, sharing knowledge, and participating in team-building activities.

Are you looking to work in

an intellectually stimulating and fast paced environment, and have the following characteristics and background?


Up to 1-2 years of relevant experience in consulting, technology, or M&A environments (internships and placement years also considered) Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a strong academic record Foundational understanding of IT concepts including software architecture, infrastructure, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Strong interest in the intersection of technology, strategy, and M&A--particularly how technology impacts deal value and operational performance Ability to produce high-quality written deliverables and presentations in English Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to work Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and collaborating with senior stakeholders Willingness to travel as required for client engagements Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus Candidates must have the right to work in the UK
