Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, very hard working and compassionate person to join our busy team at our fully equipped hospital.

As an auxiliary nurse at Maes Glas Vets your main roles will be cleaning, helping to hold animals & helping the nurses on wards with the daily tasks.

We rely hugely on our auxiliary team as we are a busy practice which needs to be cleaned and tidied throughout our busy days.

You must be able to drive as although you will be based at the hospital in Bridgend, you will also be required to work in our branches when necessary in Llantrisant & Porthcawl on a rolling rota basis of 1 in 6 weeks.

The ideal candidate will be willing to work as part of a large team but also be able to work independently.

We expect our nurses to have high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, be efficient and proactive. You must have a passion for caring for animals, and excellent customer-service skills as we pride ourselves in the level of care that is provided to our patients and clients.

The role is full time, 41.29hrs/week, on a rolling rota of different shift patterns and weekend work is also required.

The role is a fixed term contract for 15 months maternity cover, with the potential possibility of ongoing employment beyond this. This can be discussed in more detail at the interview process, along with rota, salary rate and roles and responsibilities.
