Full time Animal Care Assistant

THIS IS A FULL TIME 40HOURS PER WEEK ROLE WITH TRAVEL ACROSS OUR 4 SITES SO OWN TRANSPORT IS REQUIRED

We are looking for a Full Time Animal Care Assistant to join our Abbey Vets team, on a permanent contract, across our practices in Abergavenny, Monmouth, Brecon and Tredegar. With 13 vets, 11 RVNs, 1 ACA and 3 SVNs across our 4 well equipped, RCVS accredited sites we provide excellent services to our patients and clients with a varied and interesting case load. We pride ourselves in teamwork and the highest standards of both patient and client care.

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, have experience of caring for, and handling, animals and enjoy working as part of a busy team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Engaging and helping our lovely clients on reception Helping with taking care of our patients including; cleaning accommodations, feeding and walking Assisting the vet and nurses with animal handling Assisting with cleaning and organising on a daily basis Processing lab samples in house or packaging samples for collection
Shift Pattern:

40 hours a week, Monday to Friday

1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis (with a day in lieu off the following week)

Based across ALL of our branches: Abergavenny, Monmouth, Brecon and Tredegar

A full, clean driving license is required for this role.
