The medicine department at Langford Vets is currently looking for an Animal Care Assistant to join the team. The chosen candidate will work primarily in our Canine Medicine wards, however will be flexible to support other clinical areas as required.

Duties include:
Assisting with inpatient care such as walking dogs, taking pulses and recording observations on inpatient notes.
Patient restraint for a range of patient procedures, including blood collection and intravenous catheter placement.
Working within infection control protocols and processes to maintain the clinical areas.
Involvement in the running of endoscopic investigations and assisting in medical procedures.
Stock control.
Full training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be able to work well within a team, be self-motivated, perform well under pressure, and able to communicate effectively. An enthusiastic approach and a passion to care for the patients is vital.
Role details:
This role will be 5 full days per week, plus a weekend and bank holiday requirement.
Candidates should have a flexible approach to their work as the post includes shift work (between the hours of 7:30am - 8:30pm) and an OOH weekend rota.
