Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Animal Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of animals under our care. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. The Animal Care Assistant will assist in various tasks related to animal care and support the overall operations of our facility.

Duties

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal living areas. Assist with administering medications as per care plans. Monitor animal behaviour and health, reporting any concerns to senior staff. Communicate effectively with team members and pet owners regarding animal needs and care instructions. Drive to various locations as required for animal transport or outreach activities. Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual animals' needs. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes.

Experience

Previous experience with in animal care A genuine passion for animal welfare is crucial. Strong communication skills Familiarity with basic IT skills is beneficial for maintaining records and accessing information related to animal care.
