Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking an Animal Care Assistant to join our team in providing compassionate care to horses. The ideal candidate will be hard working, dedicated, reliable and can work well within a team.

Duties
- Assist in general yard and paddock duties

- Handle all breeds and ages of horses

- Holding horses for certain procedures

- Work to a high standard as strict bio security protocol to follow
- Monitor horses behaviour and report any concerns to vets and nursing team
- Support in the implementation of care plans for individual horses

Requirements

- Working well as a team

- Being able to follow instructions
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to drive, It is advised that the applicant should be within 40minutes drive of the veterinary practice
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and horse owners

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 11.00-12.71 per hour
