Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and a desire to provide excellent care to our furry residents.
Duties
- Assist in feeding and watering animals
- Clean animal enclosures and living areas
- Support in exercising animals as required
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care is essential
The successful candidate would need to be fully flexible as the shelter is manned 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Whilst tje majority of shifts will be day shift, there will be a requirement to work some Bank Holidays as well as twilight and night shifts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Education:
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
Animal care: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
Driving Licence (required)
Work Location: In person
