We are currently recruiting for an Animal Care Team Assistant to join our team in Lisbellaw. This is a great opportunity to join a local social Enterprise company.



Working Pattern:



25 hours per week Monday to Sunday 9am - 5pm Shift Work Free on site car parking ???????Full training given???????

THE EMPLOYER IS: FERMANAGH FUN FARM CIC This role involves providing visitors with a fun and educational experience by sharing knowledge about animals and their care. Responsibilities include looking after a variety of farm animals and small pets through feeding, mucking out, grooming, exercise, medical care, and enrichment activities. The position also supports general maintenance tasks such as fencing and painting, as well as assisting committee members with event preparation and clean-up to ensure smooth and memorable experiences for all.
Responsibilities

Attend all staff training sessions and meetings (when required). Follow all guidelines, risk assessments and company policies / procedures, checklists, when working with the general public and animals. Be able to work on your own and as part of a team. Be accountable for the animals care and welfare during your care.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

Teamwork skills. Ability to work on their own and complete work to a high standard. Ability to follow instructions / guidelines. Good communication skills.
Desirable Skills

Farming experience working with a range of animals. Experience with maintenance jobs such as fencing and fixing wire.
Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.

Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.

Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
