Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Handlers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong customer service skills. As a Handler, you will be responsible for the care and handling of Reindeer, ensuring their well-being while providing exceptional service to our clients. This role involves travelling to various locations with the reindeer and delivering fun and informative talks about all things reindeer whilst handling the reindeer. You will be mainly working in teams of 2, sometimes 3.

Responsibilities

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bedding down, clearing the horsebox on return to site. Maintain clean and safe environments for the animals in your care. Engage with customers to provide information about the reindeer in a fun and informative way Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort and security. Full training will be given

Requirements

Own transport to site is needed as public transport not readily available. Preference given to drivers over 23yrs of age for horsebox insurance Must be comfortable driving 3.5t horsebox / van (standard license) Must be happy to dress as an elf! Previous experience in animal handling is desirable. Must be able to attend a training day Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate with people of all ages Working days vary and length of days vary dependent on booking locations, time and duration.. Physical capability to work outdoors and stand for extended periods. A genuine passion for animals Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 5 weeks

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 14 - 45 per week
