Ready to begin your career in Anti Money Laundering? As an Anti Money Laundering (AML) Assistant - Apprentice, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our dynamic AML team, ensuring Goodwin stays ahead of the curve with compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. Combining your on-the-job experience with the Level 3 Compliance and Risk Officer Apprenticeship studies will provide you with a solid foundation and a head start in your career in Anti Money Laundering. This structured programme is designed to equip you with the expertise and credentials needed to excel, setting you on a path to success.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Compliance Team SupportAssist with implementing Goodwin's legal and regulatory framework requirements as outlined in Goodwin's policies, controls and procedures (PCPs) Deliver anti-money laundering (AML) services using Goodwin's systems and processes Coordinate and respond to queries from the business Undertake risk analysis for matters on which Goodwin is engaged, particularly in relation to existing clients Review existing client and matter records in order to meet Goodwin's ongoing monitoring requirements Manage records to meet audit requirements Assist in the preparation of regular Management Information (where relevant) Support the Director of AML in extracting and presenting AML data when information needs to be provided to regulators or to feed into Firmwide AML Risk Assessments Ensure any changes to high risk jurisdictions are noted and communicated efficiently Collaborate with the wider Risk and Compliance team to ensure effective oversight of compliance- related errors, breaches, and incidents are appropriately recorded by the first line on a central register Ensure that work carried out in own areas of responsibility is in accordance with all legal, regulatory and internal Goodwin requirements, including policies Consistently demonstrate behaviours that promote Goodwin's values to ensure positive colleague experience, exhibit a culture of strong conduct, and maximise the organisation's performance


Guidance and Risk OversightKeep up-to-date with relevant legal, regulatory and other changes that may impact Goodwin's AML PCPs Support the wider Compliance team's effective risk management oversight of the regulatory risk universefor the business Escalate compliance and risk issues where appropriate in line with organisational procedures Record information electronically and make use of available technology, for example Management Information Systems (MIS), spreadsheets, presentation software, word processing, email, virtual communication Handle data safely and securely and share information in compliance with data protection legislation and organisational policy Support the development of a positive regulatory risk and compliance culture within Goodwin Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Educational Qualifications/Job Experience RequirementsMinimum 5 GCSEs, including A-C in Maths & English (or equivalent) Minimum 2 A Levels (or equivalent)

Working ScheduleAs this is an apprenticeship, the role will be based on 80% working hours and 20% off the job learning time. The role will be a fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship.
