The Role

You will be responsible for the delivery of a responsive and proactive service to our residents to tackle all forms of hate crime, neighbour nuisance and anti-social behaviour. Working alongside housing management colleagues you will effectively manage your caseload and take forward the highest priority cases. You will also make and maintain effective working relationships with external agencies, including the police and legal advisors.

Who we're looking for

Experience dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour, non-legal remedies and legal remedies. The ability to work closely with local partners including the police, adult and childrens services and other agencies to pursue appropriate legal action. Experience of preparing cases and witness statements for court hearings. Experience of dealing with challenging behaviour and a sound knowledge of civil and criminal legislation. Local Government Reorganisation

Surrey is part of the government's plans for local government reorganisation. This means the current two tier system, where services are split between Surrey County Council and district and borough councils like Tandridge, will be replaced with larger councils, which handle all local services.

Although this may lead to some uncertainty for anyone considering a role with us, this process will take several years and during that time we still need to provide services.

When local government is reorganised, most staff will transfer to the new council which may offer additional opportunities for career development and variety as part of a larger organisation. The majority of the roles we currently have will still be needed whether that is for planning, housing, recycling and waste, finance, IT, HR etc
