The Community Partnerships Service, which sits within Housing & Communities, has undertaken an exciting workforce review to ensure the service is better placed to support, enable, and protect individuals and communities and is now looking for someone to join the Anti-Social Behaviour Team.

About the role

This is a varied role that will enable you to utilise problem solving skills to investigate and take action to deal with domestic anti-social behaviour, hate crime and cuckooing, supporting victims and ensuring appropriate measures are put in place to stop perpetrators. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of services and agencies and support the wider objectives of the Community Partnerships Service to reduce anti-social behaviour and support our communities to feel safer and inclusive.

Main Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide a victim centred approach to tackling domestic anti-social behaviour, hate crime and cuckooing, ensuring timely action is taken and prevention, intervention and enforcement measures are appropriately used to secure a positive outcome, with each enquiry and case having a comprehensive, multi-agency action plan.
  • Provide support to victims and witnesses, ensuring each action plan sets out measures to support and safeguard them.
  • Develop and maintain regular contact and joint working practices with Officers from within the council and partner agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to tackling issues of anti-social behaviour, hate crime and cuckooing.
  • Complete and present referrals to relevant problem-solving meetings/panels.
  • Support the preparation of and participate in events, PR/media coverage to promote activity carried out by the team.
About you

We are looking for an experience Anti-Social Behaviour Officer with experience of partnership problem solving and providing support to victims of ASB. You will have good organisational skills, the ability to manage your own workload.
