As an Authorised Push Payment (APP) Fraud Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing fraud claims received in line with the Contingent Reimbursement Model Code and assessing liability with fairness and integrity to ensure the best possible outcome is delivered to the customer.
This role will operate on a shift pattern - 37.5hrs a week (5x7.5hr shifts), Mon-Sun 9am-5.30pm. However all contracts across operations are on a 24/7 and therefore could change to meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Review APP claims received as both the sending and receiving bank.
  • Ensuring claims are investigated efficiently and in line with PSD2 requirements.
  • Communicating with customers to obtain additional information when necessary to support their claim and delivering final outcomes post assessment.
  • Working to a high standard, meeting strict timeframes whilst working under pressure.
  • Liaising with Risk and Legal where necessary to gain advice and counsel on cases, to ensure the right outcome is delivered.
  • Work as part of a team and supporting colleagues as and when required in order to reduce workload(s).
  • Ensuring feedback is provided to appropriate parties in instances where an error has been identified.
Requirements
  • You will have experience in a Fraud/Financial Crime role or similar.
  • Preferred experience using fraud detection and reporting systems, such as CIFAS and SIRA.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and orally.
  • A strong eye for detail and able to notice small but important
  • A team player who is also able to work independently to deliver in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to act with urgency and escalate issues as and when necessary.
  • Ability to liaise with different teams and stakeholders with confidence to assist your investigations.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to understand complex problems and identify potential solutions.
  • Able to adapt to change positively and quickly
