At Weber we are looking for an Applications Manager to work in our Technical Team, to demonstrate ambition to attain expertise in the installation of current and future materials and their techniques in application and methods of construction. We are looking for an Applications Manager who can install systems to precise instruction with diligence to the highest of professional standards in a test setting scenario. This role will be predominately based in the Flitwick area but the successful Applications Manager will be travelling to test academies and our customers sites on a regular basis.

The Applications Manager will work on a standalone basis but will have an opportunity to grow the technical applications team in the long term but will be working closely with the Research and Development team, Quality team, Certification Manager and Marketing. Weber is one of 30+ Saint-Gobain brands. Weber are formulators and manufacturers of building materials for the facade, construction mortars, flooring systems and tile fixing markets, Weber\'s well established product range includes monocouche renders, external wall insulation systems, tile adhesives/grouts, leveling compounds and specialist construction products

This role comes with company uniform, company vehicle and will have the Applications Manager performing 60% of their activities in accredited Test Academies, 30% In House Test Centres and 10% delivering training contractors in Training Academies.

What we\'re looking for:

  • The Applications Manager will need to hold at least a NVQ Level 3 in Plastering
  • Hold practical skills of a high level in relation to testing scenario experience, and experience of installing systems to their optimum performance
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous priorities with the ability to follow instructions, and the ability to follow process and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, internal and external stakeholder management and the ability to influence and manage across a matrix organisation.
  • Practical, hands on and logical knowledge of construction plastering products and its application
What you will be doing:
  • To organize demonstrations at major seminars/presentations & exhibitions.
  • Maintain accurate records and organisation of NPD trials & raw materials changes
  • The Applications Manager will spend 80% of their time on product testing and 20% on demonstrating
  • Confidentially communicates evolving new techniques and practices to customers and colleagues
  • The Application Manager will identify services that will add value to the customer relationship, showing versatility to problem solve, offering engineering solutions to meet customer needs
