Application Support Analyst - Hybrid/Milton Keynes (MK4) - 30k - 35k, DOE - Permanent
Leading IT Consultancy with offices in UK and Europe (Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland) is looking to recruit a
permanent Application Support Analyst (1st and 2nd Line Support)
. We deliver a range of services from IT Consultancy, Software Project Development and Application Support Services for our corporate clients covering Insurance, Retail, FMCG, Automotive, Logistics & Leasing, Publishing and Charity domains (including UN organizations) which are well-known names in their domains.
This role will be based
4 days per week in Milton Keynes (MK4)
, with occasional travelling to our office in Borehamwood (WD61QQ). The regular office schedule is from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Key Skills for Application Support Analyst:
3+ years experience as
Application Support Analyst
- mandatory
Knowledge of SQL - mandatory
Knowledge of a broad base of database technologies - at least MS SQL Server - Mandatory
Helpdesk or Testing experience
- strong advantage
Strong interpersonal & communication skills, with excellent English, written and verbal - mandatory
Knowledge of a programming language would be beneficial
Ability to hit the ground running (previous experience working on your own) as well as part of a team -
would be a great advantage
Excellent customer service skills
Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, prepared to go the extra yard
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially regarding fixing data issues
Flexible, can-do attitude, capable of multitasking and resilient under pressure
Ability to form good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Key accountabilities for Application Support Analyst:
Responsible for the stability and availability of applications within production environment
Timely identification of issues, resolution of incidents, support scheduled tasks and data feeds, fixing data issues, performing routine tasks such as manual feeds/data loads, and participate in acceptance testing and deployment of new applications/releases
Monitor processes and procedures for managing the production application environments including maintenance tasks, incident and problem management
Ensure helpdesk system is kept up to date of the progress made with issues
Ensure documentation is maintained and is suitable for support purposes
Ensure business is kept informed of the progress of the issues they have raised
Involvement in testing activities, which will be carrying out user testing on the applications that they will be supporting
