Wood is recruiting for an ERP Applications Support Lead to join our friendly applications team. The role is responsible for overseeing the regular support as well as implementation of enhancements, modifications, upgrades, and patches in Oracle ERP. You will monitor all tickets and prevent any escalation, get updates from team on critical issues. This roles objective is to ensure the business is provided with high quality support related to maximising commercial worth and minimising risk by adhering to Wood policies and processes.


This position can be based in our Head Office in Aberdeen (preferred) or can be remote within the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with proven ability to serve as an effective team leader to a team of highly skilled employees. You should have a solid background across multiple areas of the Oracle ERP applications be able to collaborate with stakeholders to support leveraging Oracle ERP technology to drive functional objectives.


You will be a key contributer for the future of the ERP Support Structure; with a focus to support globally with resources distributed across the regions. Working with various functions you will drive the day to day management of the ERP programmes regarding technical design, staffing and the overall plan, in a timely and cost efficient way.

Supports the ERP Systems Manager(s) in the delivery of effective practice which complements the implementations delivery and blueprint Support the ERP System Manager(s) in leading function driven projects and initiatives Supports with project planning, discovery, business readiness and adoption of streamlined and standardised end to end processes Supports continuous improvements, enhancements and projects striving toward first class technological solutions Identify opportunities for automated solutions setting technological priorities and explore application capabilities Keeps informed of functional changes to the application advised in the Oracle maintenance packs Contributes to the development and maintenance of global end to end business processes, standards guidance and technical system documentation Prepare weekly status from team on Open, Closed tickets and track enhancements Track Resource utilisation to make sure resources are properly allocated across various projects Work with and support team members on their career development Responsible for the creation of the internal stakeholders and vendor KPI's, ensuring smooth and effective communication between all parties Develop, document, maintain and ensure adherence to key technical processes Manage Functional & technical SLA's Develops technology roadmap and strategy. This includes being a main point of contact for discussions related to new business processes and system needs Able to provide guidance and insight to impacts of system configurations and changes Fully understands and is able to support various back-end business processes including the interoperability between systems and processes Review and understand business requirements, recommend solutions and provide level of effort estimates to complete customisations or configurations to the application. (Estimate and manage enhancement and support work) Documentation following ERP terminology and testing

Expected:



Extensive experience of ERP in leading a Global team with solid background across multiple areas of Oracle ERP applications Strong Functional Knowledge on Projects and finance modules - Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Management, Receivables, Payables, General Ledger, Purchasing Strong and proven leadership skills, business acumen combined with hands-on functional expertise in an enterprise-wide information technology department as it pertains to ERP and other applications Ability to lead and motivate team Demonstrated ability to work with large degree of ambiguity and effective in collaborating with diverse interest groups Strong functional understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite data model, schema architecture, and Multi-Org concepts Understand & demonstrate high level technical understanding / architecture of the application Facilitate team collaboration and communications across cross functional / technical and across systems within ERP landscape
