Apprentice Accountant - Indirect Tax

FTC 18-24 months

London (hybrid: 3 days office/2 days home)

Apprenticeships play an important role at Pharmanovia and as part of the team you can expect to be involved in a wide variety of tasks covering both VAT compliance and VAT advisory. The role will report directly into the Senior Indirect Tax Manager and will be expected to work closely with relevant business departments.

This apprenticeship will help you understand the complex accounting disciplines including indirect tax, management accounting, costing, spreadsheets for accounting and financial processes. As part of this apprenticeship you will undertake a qualification in Accountancy. You will also gain valuable work experience within our business learning the importance of accounting within a business setting.

What you will be doing:
  • Aggregating data required to be submitted for numerous VAT registrations worldwide
  • Supporting VAT Senior Analyst in ensuring VAT returns, supplementary declarations, EC sales lists etc. are filed accurately and on time
  • Supporting VAT Senior Analyst in submitting requests and ensure all payments are made on time
  • Ownership, reconciliation, and review of nominal ledgers relating to VAT and transactions to ensure they have the correct VAT coding
  • Ensuring that all Import and Export documentation requirements are met
  • Supporting the development of new business improvement processes
  • Supporting company auditing processes, checking for compliance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Projects ad-hoc as required to ensure compliance in all areas indirect tax related
  • Managing various administration
What are we looking for?

You don\'t need to have any previous experience although you should have English, Mathematics and at least three other qualifications (Grade A-C). Candidates who have successfully completed a relevant Foundation Apprenticeship will also be considered.
