We are now looking for an
Accounts Support Assistant Apprentice
to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career in finance and gain hands-on experience while working towards qualifications.
The Role
As an Accounts Support Assistant Apprentice, you will support the accounts department with day-to-day financial administration while developing your skills and knowledge in accounting. You will receive training and mentoring in all aspects of the role, as well as support to gain formal qualifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone organised, enthusiastic, and eager to learn who would like to begin a career in finance within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Processing purchase invoices and reconciling them to supplier statements
Preparing supplier payments
Processing petty cash receipts and maintaining records
Assisting with preparation of client and supplier valuations
Assisting with customer invoicing and project progress forecasting
Preparing and issuing customer statements and carrying out credit control follow-up
Performing bank reconciliations and nominal balance reconciliations against the Trial Balance
Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
Supporting the wider finance and office team with ad-hoc tasks as required
Training and Development
Full training will be given in:
Preparation of client and supplier valuations
Customer invoicing and progress forecasting
Issuing statements and undertaking credit control
Bank and nominal balance reconciliations
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
You will also attend college or training provider sessions as part of your apprenticeship programme.

GCSEs in English and Mathematics or Functional skills

16,000 per annum
