We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, well organised and capable Apprentice to support the team in a wide range of administrative duties. This is a great opportunity to start your career within a chambers

Future Prospects



There are prospects if the apprenticeship is successful. This could be in any of the departments or become a role covering multiple departments. Also the role could be a big stepping stone into other barristers chambers positions. The salary would be approximately 24,000 There are possible options for promotion.

The Business



A leading Barristers Chambers specialising in family law. The role will be in the administration team supporting the barristers.

Your role



Administrative assistant in a busy barristers chambers assisting in all areas including the clerks room, finance, marketing and general administration. We hope they will add value and become part of the team. Entering data, papers and documents onto the case management system Lodging documents at court Assisting members to court General administrative duties; including sending emails, printing and photocopying documents Dealing with post Assisting with emails Assisting with conferences Daily office checks Dealing with confidential waste Assisting chambers administrator Assisting Chambers marketing co-ordinator Assisting Fees Manager

Working week



Monday - Friday 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. 1 hour lunch 40 hours per week. Office based.

Desired skills



Local viable commute essential

4-9 grades English and maths GCSE's

Confident with excellent communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties Good attention to detail Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm's in-house systems where training will be given Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team Must be well-presented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner Good organisational skills Good client care skills

Training to be provided



You will complete the Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship

This Apprenticeship will involve off the job training. You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours. You need to have an employer to support your Apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role. The typical length of this Apprenticeship course is 18 months. This course has multiple start dates throughout the year
