Apprentice Assistant Underwriter - Harrogate - ARD957173 We have a very exciting opportunity to join our Geo Agriculture team as an Apprentice Underwriter. This role would allow you to attain Insurance Practitioner Level III, and Cert CII, whilst completing a supported underwriting foundation learning programme. You would be required to deliver highly efficient and accurate administration and data record support to all underwriting functions, assisting to effectively write, renew and administer specialist insurance policies in line with business targets and requirements. What you will do as an Apprentice Underwriter:

  • Preparation and production of client records
  • Data entry quote preparation
  • Preparation, production, and delivery of policy renewal invitations
  • Handling and directing telephone calls
  • Checking Third Party databases and accurately recording results
  • Distribution of policy administration system-based post and emails
  • Processing of appropriate policy record transactions in line with personal authority levels
  • Production of management information reports and creating outputs for the business
  • To ensure confidentiality in respect of information received and handled
  • To support all colleagues as required
  • To contribute positively and proactively to business development
  • To maintain personal CPD records and proactively undertake relevant attainment and maintenance
  • To meet and exceed all apprenticeship learning requirements
  • Undertake any training identified as being necessary for the position
  • To work towards and attain an underwriting licence
  • At least 20% of the working week to be allocated to apprenticeship studies
