Apprentice Business Administrator Clinical Coding

Overview of the Practice

Reach Healthcare are a progressive, multi-site practice located in Medway, serving over 33,000 patients across Walderslade, Lordswood, and Gillingham.

Our large and friendly team consists of four dedicated GP partners, supported by salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, a Physician Associate, Clinical Pharmacists, and an experienced practice nursing team managing most long-term conditions. The clinical team is backed by a senior management team including a Business & Finance Manager, two Operational Managers and Department Team Leads. Our efficient administrative functions, including hubs for prescribing, secretarial tasks, and Docman, help minimise the clinical team's administrative workload..

We have care coordinators who provide personalised care to key patient groups, such as those on the palliative care register and patients with learning disabilities.

Rated "Good" by the CQC, we are a high-achieving QOF practice, demonstrating our organisational excellence and proactive patient care. We offer community services like Minor Surgery, LARC, and ECGs, with plans to expand our specialist services, offering opportunities for professional development.
Our appointment system features a digital front door via the Anima online consultation tool. All appointment requests are GP-triaged to ensure timely and appropriate clinical care.

Business administrator
Level 3 (A level) with Clinical Coding Embedded

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 17.30pm (1 hour for lunch)

Job summary:



The overall aim of the Business Administrator will be to work collaboratively with our current reception and admin team to manage reception and to assist with other general administration.

Provide a gold standard customer service to the patient population.

Issue repeat prescriptions, ensuring the prescription process is followed and all patients are up to date with the monitoring required.

Open post received by the practice, allocate the letters to the appropriate team.

Scan clinical letters into the clinical system.

Assist the practice care coordinators with recalls processes.

Photocopying.

Job Type: Apprenticeship

Pay: 7.55 per hour
