We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a trainee butcher. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety and culinary practices, with experience in food production and preparation through full in-house training. As a Butcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of meat products for our customers, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
Duties
Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specifications.
Ensure all meat products are stored correctly to maintain freshness and comply with food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butcher area, including tools and equipment.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfil meat orders for various dishes while adhering to culinary standards.
Provide excellent customer service by answering queries regarding meat products and offering recommendations.
Stay updated on industry trends related to food preparation and butchery techniques.
Requirements
