We are looking for an enthusiastic
Apprentice CAD Drawer
to join our growing Design & Surveying Department at our Head Office in Scunthorpe.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about design or eager to begin a career in CAD. You'll receive full training from experienced CAD Technicians and Surveyors, working on real Traffic Management drawings and supporting operational teams across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
Learning to create and amend Traffic Management plans using AutoCAD LT.
Supporting the production of technical drawings in line with Chapter 8 and industry standards.
Using mapping tools such as Google Maps and Google Earth to assist with drawing layouts.
Assisting the team with basic survey information and understanding how site surveys feed into drawing creation.
Helping maintain drawing files, records, and digital documentation.
Supporting the Design & Surveying team with general administrative and project-related tasks.
Taking part in an approved apprenticeship programme, completing coursework and training activities.
What We're Looking For
You don't need experience in CAD -- full training will be provided.
We are looking for someone who is:
Keen to learn and develop CAD and design skills
Interested in engineering, mapping, design, or technical drawing
Confident using computers and Microsoft Office
Good with communication and organisation
Able to pay attention to detail and follow instructions
Positive, motivated, and reliable
Desirable (But Not Essential)
GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience with any design software or technical drawing (school/college work counts!)
A genuine interest in Traffic Management, engineering, or design
