We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment. Duties
Assisting dentists during various dental procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Ensuring all clinical areas are clean, sterile, and well-organised in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Providing support to patients before, during, and after treatment, including explaining procedures and offering reassurance.
Managing patient records accurately using IT systems and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Taking X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Preparing treatment rooms for upcoming appointments and ensuring equipment is functioning correctly.
Supporting administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence.
Upholding infection control standards consistently across all clinical activities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is desirable.
Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Basic nursing knowledge or previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred.
Competent IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems.
Excellent communication skills to reassure patients and work collaboratively with colleagues.
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
A recognised qualification in dental nursing or equivalent is advantageous but not essential for internship roles. This role offers an engaging environment where you can contribute to patient wellbeing while advancing your professional career within dentistry.
