We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice dental nurse to join our friendly and busy dental practice. We are a dental practice with a well established and friendly team. We would love you to join us as an apprentice dental nurse. This position requires hard work but offers great character development.

The role of a dental nurse is to assist the dentist with all clinical aspects within the surgery.

This includes but is not limited to:

Greet and care for all patients in a polite manner at all times Work closely with the dentist Provide chair side assistance during all dental procedures Update computer records and taking notes Cleaning surgeries to a high level, maintaining strict cross infection controls Preparing instruments and materials during treatments Reception Duties

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

One day a week online training.
One day of study week

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once qualified there are many post qualifications available.
Examples of these are, dental radiography, oral hygiene, fluoride application, sedation and implant training.

Things to consider
You will be required to have a Hepatitis B injection and pass a DBS check.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) essential
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) essential
GCSE or equivalent Science (Grade 4) essential

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: 7.55 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
