You'll be working on... (what your role and responsibility is)





You will play a key role in supporting the engineering team to deliver safe, high-quality electrical design solutions within agreed timeframes and budgets. Working under supervision, you'll gain practical experience in engineering design, technical documentation, and project delivery in the railway and energy sectors. Your responsibilities will include:


Supporting engineering teams during all stages of project delivery, from tender to implementation. Assisting in the production of basic electrical design documentation under supervision. Helping maintain design records, documentation, and databases. Supporting the preparation of drawings, schedules, and specifications. Assisting with technical studies, site surveys, and desk-based research. Gaining exposure to relevant engineering software (e.g. ETAP, MicroStation, MATLAB, CDEGS). Observing compliance with safety legislation, company procedures, and CDM Regulations. Participating in team meetings, design reviews, and internal training sessions. Maintaining a positive and proactive approach to all work undertaken.

You'll bring... (your wealth of experience & qualifications)




Evidence of achieving a Grade 4 or above in English and Maths to enter the apprenticeship programme. Willingness to learn and pursue formal academic qualifications alongside on-the-job experience. The necessary UCAS points to enrol on a Degree Level Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A valid driving license may be required for site-based roles.
