Overview

We are seeking a Apprentice Dispensing Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining accuracy, safety, and efficiency within the pharmacy environment. Prior experience in pharmacy settings is advantageous, and a commitment to patient well-being is essential.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescribed medications accurately and efficiently Prepare and label medication containers in accordance with prescriptions and safety standards Provide guidance and support to patients regarding medication usage and storage Maintain organised records of dispensed medications and patient interactions Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with protocols Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations Manage stock levels, including ordering supplies and checking expiry dates Deliver excellent patient care by addressing queries and offering professional advice within scope of practice
