We are currently recruiting a
Drylining Apprentice
to join a large new-build development site in
Lewisham
. This opportunity is open
only to residents of the London Borough of Lewisham
as part of a local employment and training initiative.
What You'll Do:
Work alongside experienced dryliners on a live construction site
Assist with installation of partitions, ceilings, and wall linings using plasterboard and metal systems
Learn how to measure, cut, and fix materials accurately
Follow drawings and site instructions under supervision
Carry out physically demanding tasks, sometimes at height and in varied weather
Receive on-site guidance and mentoring to complete your Level 2 apprenticeship in Drylining
Maintain good site discipline, punctuality, and safety standards
Use provided tools and PPE (free of charge)
What We're Looking For:
Aged 18 or over (no upper age limit)
Resident of the London Borough of Lewisham (essential)
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Good communication skills and ability to work with others
Good attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach
Manual or site-based experience preferred (Skills Centre experience accepted)
CSCS card required
GCSEs or equivalent in
English and Maths preferred
but not essential
Positive reference from a college tutor or training provider
Pay:
12.25 per hour
490 per week
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours per week)
