Apprentice Early Years Practitioner
Job Description
Little Staggies Early learning Centre is looking for a hard working and eager to learn individual to join our team as a Apprentice Early Years Practitioner. You will be supported to gain a SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) qualification.
Key duties and Responsibilities include:
To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
To assist practitioners with their day-to-day tasks such as nappy changing, helping children in the toilet, snack and lunch tidying up, tidying and cleaning up after messy activities etc
To help with daily and termly cleaning schedules - to a high standard
To follow the lead of the practitioners in ensuring the centre is a warm, stimulating and welcoming environment for young children and their families
Skills/Attributes include:
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
Good interpersonal and social skills with the ability to relate and communicate with adults and children
Ability to respect confidentiality
Good organisational skills
Ability to support a positive and productive working environment
Confidence in using a wide range of technologies
