Scallywags Day Nursery in Oakham currently have a vacancy for an Apprentice Early Years Practitioner.

At Scallywags we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of day care and nursery education from 6 weeks to 5 years. We recognise what an important role we play in each child's development. Most of all, we want our children to be happy, confident and secure.

As an Apprentice Early Years Practitioner will gain experience and be required to:

Provide Children with a safe, secure and stimulating environment Plan, organise and implement a programme of activities in line with the EYFS framework to meet the needs of the children within their age group Ensure observations/ evaluations are regularly completed and records are kept up to date Operate a keyworker system and liaise with parents/carers about their child's development and encourage them to participate in their child's learning and development Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team
You will need:

Ability to work well within a team as well as using own initiative Have good communication skills
In addition you will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and creative, with the commitment to provide the highest standards of childcare.
The working hours are up to 40 hours per week, shift patterns from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. The starting salary is 7.60 an hour, which will increase as you pass the qualifications and develop into an Early Years Practitioner.
