Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks on construction sites, focusing on both commercial and industrial projects.

We are holding a public event to teach the public on how to wire plug, lights etc, and ideally you will have the materials to hand along with testers. Power is available on site, and you will work with the education team to put togeher a basic wiring workshop

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Work with experienced electricians to learn about low voltage and high voltage systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assigned tasks. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Perform electrical testing using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to ensure system functionality. Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to maintain safety and compliance on job sites. Participate in frame carpentry tasks as needed to support electrical installations. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not required. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment is essential. Basic understanding of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Experience working on construction sites is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take direction effectively.
