A Dental Autoclave Engineer is responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of autoclaves and other related dental equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations. This includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, conducting pressure vessel inspections, periodic validation and providing excellent customer service to dental practices.

Responsibilities:

Service and Maintenance:

Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair autoclaves, decontamination units, and other dental equipment.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, including those related to steam generators, water treatment systems, and ancillary equipment.

Preventative Maintenance:

Implement and carry out preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.

Pressure Vessel Inspections:

Conduct pressure vessel inspections on autoclaves and other related equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Installation and Commissioning:

Install new dental equipment, including autoclaves, and conduct initial testing and commissioning.

Testing and Validation:

Perform mandatory quarterly, and annual testing procedures on various equipment, such as washer disinfectors and porous load sterilizers, in accordance with relevant standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and installations, including reports and documentation for validation and compliance.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service and build strong working relationships with dental practice staff.

Sales and Business Development:

Pursue sales opportunities for equipment replacement and upgrades.

Data Logging and Analysis:

Use data loggers, laptop computers, and licensed software to collect and analyze test results and generate reports.

Decontamination:

Perform decontamination and disinfection of contaminated equipment in hazardous and unpleasant environments.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Strong understanding of autoclave technology, including steam sterilizers, washer disinfectors, and other related equipment. Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations, including pressure vessel regulations. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with dental practice staff. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle hazardous and unpleasant materials. Valid driver's license
Working Environment:

Primarily works in dental practices and clinics. May also work in hospitals, laboratories, or other healthcare settings. Requires travel to customer sites.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
