Were looking for a motivated Apprentice Finance Administrator to join our Finance team at Canterbury Oast Trust a local charity supporting adults with learning disabilities across Kent.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while studying towards your Level 3 AAT qualification, with the potential to progress to Level 4. Youll work closely with our experienced Finance team, supporting day-to-day operations and learning the key processes that keep a busy charity running smoothly.
What Youll Be Doing
Assisting with cash income processing and reconciliations
Helping to prepare monthly financial reports and summaries
Maintaining accurate financial records using Excel and accounting software
Processing purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims
Supporting banking duties and petty cash management
Communicating with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries
Carrying out general administrative tasks, such as filing and document management
Attending training sessions and completing all apprenticeship coursework
About You
Were looking for someone eager to learn, organised, and ready to get involved in a busy finance environment. Youll have:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
Strong attention to detail and good numeracy skills
Great communication and interpersonal skills
A willingness to learn and develop professionally
The ability to handle confidential information sensitively
A clean driving licence and the right to work in the UK
A clear criminal records check will be required (arranged by the Trust upon offer).
Training and Development
Youll study for the Level 3 AAT apprenticeship (with progression to Level 4 available), supported through:
A dedicated study day each week
On-the-job learning with the Finance team
Off-the-job training with an approved provider
Ongoing guidance to help you develop technical and administrative finance skills
