An excellent opportunity has arisen to join TIS's team as a Fire and Security Apprentice Engineer! This is an exciting role for a motivated individual looking to begin a rewarding career in the fire and security engineering industry.



As an Apprentice Engineer, you will work alongside experienced professionals to learn how to install, maintain, and service a wide range of fire and security systems. The role includes working at heights and will provide both practical, hands-on experience and the opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications.



You will be learning about, and working on, installing, repairing and maintaining the following fire and security equipment:

CCTV Intruder alarms Access control Door entry/exit systems Networking equipment

Entry requirements



Desired skills and qualities:



You must either hold a full UK driving license, or be actively working towards obtaining one at the time of application Previous electrical experience would be a bonus Able to pass an enhanced DBS background check You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team meeting tight deadlines. You should be committed to developing new skills and gaining knowledge of the fire and security industry. Physically fit, and comfortable working at high and low heights Willingness to learn and a genuine interest in learning more about the wider fire and security industry Able to work in a team as well as motivated to work alone when required The ideal candidate will need the confidence to deal with clients in a professional manner, be reliable, adaptable, conscientious and able to follow instructions. A keen interest in technology, and computer literate

Training to be provided



Skills for Security will deliver the Level 3 apprenticeship via block release training weeks at their Walsall training centre via a block release system. This would involve going to the training centre Monday - Friday 1 week in every 8 weeks.



You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre, and gathering any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.



You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.



Things to consider



The apprenticeship is 36 months, and full commitment is required throughout all 3 years, please only apply if you are comfortable with this.



Pay:



8.00p/h per hour first 6 months.

8.50p/h thereafter until 12 months

10.00p/h after 12 months
