Apprentice Fitter Machinist
Job Description
LNWR Heritage is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Fitter Machinist.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join this fast-growing company to learn a long-established trade while working towards a nationally recognised level 3 qualification. You will be based at our depot in Crewe, and work within our Mechanical Department gaining experience in a variety of tasks, including:
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to create or repair precise components.
Traditional skills such as filing, scraping, fitting, and assembling parts to exact specifications.
Setting up and operating conventional lathes, mills, CNC machine tools and other essential equipment.
Machining components to precise tolerances.
Use of welding and gas cutting equipment.
Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
To be considered for this apprenticeship, you will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in completing work to a high-quality level and have a genuine interest in engineering.
You will also require the following skills and qualifications:
GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English Enthusiastic team player Self-motivated and driven Excellent communication skills Positive attitude Willingness to learn
Attendance at college on day release is an essential part of our training programme.
Full time Monday to Friday 37.5 Hours

Pay: From 14,723.00 per year
