The Role - A Perfect Start for a School Leaver or Apprentice

Just finished your GCSEs or A-Levels in

business, geography, IT or languages

? Looking for an exciting alternative to university or college?
This could be the start of your career in global logistics!

As a

Freight Forwarder Apprentice

, you'll play a key part in helping businesses ship goods around the world. You'll learn how to:

Plan the best routes for deliveries by air, sea, or road Communicate with international partners and government bodies (like HMRC) Use computer systems to track and manage shipments Solve problems and meet tight deadlines Become a

customs and transport expert

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

Plan and track deliveries to meet customer needs Speak with shipping companies, couriers, and customs Organise insurance and special transport for sensitive items (like food or medicine) Keep up to date with rules and regulations around imports and exports Help customers solve delivery issues quickly and professionally

What We're Looking For

Essential:

GCSEs (Grade C or above) in

Maths and English

Confident with computers and IT systems Strong communication - written and spoken Organised, accurate and a good problem-solver

Nice to Have (But Not Required):

A-Level or other qualifications in:
Business, IT, Languages, Geography, Logistics

Any work experience in an office, retail, or customer service Familiarity with social media or digital platforms
