Job Hours: 40 hours, Monday - Friday, Permanent, Full-time

Job Salary: 26-28,000





McCann's Design team in Bradford is looking for a motivated Apprentice/Graduate to join us!



This role is great for someone eager to develop a comprehensive understanding of the design process, from initial concepts to project completion. You'll begin by providing essential administrative support, while receiving full training in AutoCAD, lighting calculation software, and cable calculation software. As you progress, you'll also have opportunities to liaise with internal departments and clients, contributing directly to the success of our design projects.

Who we are looking for

In depth experience of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook. Experience of using AutoCAD LT. Have gained or be working towards a qualification in Electrical Engineering/Design or a related subject. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally. Experience in lighting design is desirable, along with in-depth experience using AutoCAD LT.

What your role will include

:


Design & Technical Delivery




Enter data ready for project submissions in line with McCann's internal QMS procedures. Support the Design Manager with quotations and data entry for new schemes. Undertake lighting designs using Lighting Reality and Electrical Design using AMTECH /Trimble. Prepare drawings for approval using AutoCAD LT. Carry out site surveys and assessments of existing highway infrastructure. Assist in producing technical reports and specifications.

Internal & External Collaboration




Liaise with Designers and the Design Manager on a project-to-project basis. Interface with clients, consultants, and external stakeholders to build effective relationships and represent McCann's design capabilities.

Strategic & Innovation Functions




Represent McCann at relevant industry events and forums.
