to assist with the smooth and efficient running of the Human Resources Department, through professional planning and administration, with a focus on employee relations and data processing, in addition to other department activities in accordance with the hotel's objectives.
This is a apprenticeship role and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn while they earn through studying to achieve their
HR Support Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Key responsibilities:
To always act positively towards guests and clients.
To be polite and helpful when answering the telephone.
Employee data management - accurately create, maintain, and process contractual records and documents throughout the employee lifecycle held within EPS (HR System).
Undertake reference checks for new employees and complete reference requests for former employees.
Administer paperwork for employment changes including promotions, changes in hours or other contractual changes.
Review staff time and attendance information on a weekly basis.
Analyse and eventually conduct exit interviews, feeding back to the HR team and Head of Department as appropriate.
Assist the HR team with departmental reports, as necessary.
-Provide administrative support to Payroll (no previous experience required)
-Conduct staff accommodation checks with another member of the team on a regular basis.
Ensure notice and communication to employees staying in the accommodation are timely and accurate.
Arrange the cleaning of accommodation after or before a new person arrives.
Inspect the staff accommodation on a regular basis and respond to and report any maintenance issues.
Assist with the annual cycle of the employee appraisals.
Attend off-site Careers Fairs and Networking Events with other members of the team, where required.
Assist with preparation of colleague communication

Working Week:

Future Prospects:
A permanent role may be offered to the right candidate following the successful completion of the apprenticeship along with other training opportunities with the company.
What you need to know:
This Level 3 qualification is a 16-month apprenticeship including the 3 months end point assessment.
To apply you must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years before the start date of the apprenticeship learning and have authorisation to work in the UK.
You cannot apply if you already have a qualification equal to or higher than the apprenticeship standard being studied.
You can apply if you have a higher qualification than the apprenticeship standard in an unrelated subject.
You should live in the area local to the employer and the college campus offering the apprenticeship.
This is a combination of work and learning so you will need to commit to the learning and stay at the employers until the apprenticeship is successfully completed.
Learning at Chichester College may be undertaken remotely or onsite with classroom attendance.
Past working experience would be an advantage but is not necessary

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is 7.55 per hour (As of the 1st of April 2025). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16- to 18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their ages applies.
