Join us as an Apprentice IT Support Engineer! You'll be at the forefront of solving tech issues, learning from experienced professionals, and gaining hands-on experience.

We boast some of the most experienced engineers in the South West, who will be mentoring you.
You will be studying a Level 3 information communication technician apprenticeship alongside working as an apprentice IT support engineer at Nexus means you will be part of our team who are the first point of contact for clients contacting the service desk.
You will be assisting our clients by listening to their technical issues and providing assistance to get them working again quickly, efficiently and within their contracted service level agreement.
Day-to-day you will be answering the telephone, providing remote support, or engaging with clients face-to-face at their workplace.

Primarily, you will need to demonstrate you are enthusastic about technology! Do you like tinkering with your own IT environment at home? Do you take pride in reaching objectives and in your achievements? This might be the ideal role for you.

Have a basic understanding of computer hardware, software and networking principles.
Want to learn proactively. You will be participating in training sessions both at work and in college.

Be a well-organised, hardworking, and have good attention to detail.
Be able to record and document your time and any actions taken.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Have GCSEs (or equivilent) in maths and english at grade 4/C or above.
An IT related qualification e.g. GCSE, A level, BTEC or equivilent it will be helpful, but not essential.

As an apprentice, you will be working towards the Level 3 IT Communication Technician Apprenticeship. We will also provide the opportunity to gain vendor related certifications e.g. Microsoft, Dell, SonicWALL.
