Are you a motivated and ambitious individual ready to take your first step into the world of finance and accounting? We're offering an exciting opportunity to join our Finance Department as an Apprentice Junior Finance Analyst within the Modelling and Systems team. This role is ideal for someone eager to kick-start their professional career and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic finance environment. As part of your apprenticeship, you'll study for a Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship, which includes the industry-recognised Level 3 AAT accounting qualification.

Overview of the role:

As an Apprentice Junior Finance Analyst at L&Q, you'll be involved in the management of financial data and reporting. This will cover both elements of exciting project work where new financial models and reports are being built, as well as routine support, maintenance and adjustments of existing reports. You will have the opportunity to help with the extraction and analysis of financial data to support the organisation make effective decisions. You will get to meet and work with people across the organisation.

Areas of responsibility will include but are not exclusive to, assisting with queries and issues on existing models and reports, working with colleagues from other departments to understand their teams' processes and objectives, helping to build new models and reports thereby allowing L&Q to develop further its extensive financial data assets. You will learn about L&Q's reporting suite and the way it uses financial models for planning, governance and risk management, and the range of data tools available and how these can be used in a finance environment.

You should have the drive to learn new skills and the flexibility to take on different tasks whilst producing work to a high standard. It will be key to have good time management skills in this busy role.

You'll also need to be well organised and have excellent communication and collaboration skills. We are looking for a candidate with resilience, drive, enthusiasm and a passion to help people. We value those that can work in a team and apply logic and reasoning to a range of finance processes.

The apprenticeship learning will support your development and chosen career path. Whilst undertaking your learning programme, your manager will help guide your development and day-to-day work, a mentor will provide extra support, and you'll be working alongside experienced colleagues to learn hands-on, work-based skills.

Other essential skills and experience:
Enthusiasm for the role and L&Q.

Strong numeracy skills

Ability to understand and be understood, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work independently, as well as being a good team player.

Good organisational skills and ability to manage/prioritise own workload.

Good problem-solving skills.

Willingness to learn and grow with a positive attitude to work.

A minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C/Grade 4 or above including English and maths.

Hold or be predicted to achieve at least 3 A levels at Grade C or above.
