Apprenticeship summary



What will the apprentice be doing?



? Sample preparation - Have a good understanding of the methodology used to conduct the sample analysis, the associated calculations, the expected result and the required accuracy and precision

? Analysis of samples - Follow laboratory procedures on various sample types, as submitted, in order to produce accurate, reproducible results

? Analytical instrument operation - Have a good understanding of the principles of operations of the instruments within job holder area of work

? Ensure all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards are adhered to.

? Support in ensuring that all processing activities and production demands are satisfied.

? Be responsible for rigorously applying Sibelco UK's H&S Policy ensuring systems, standards and written systems are applied at all times maintaining a strong health and safety culture.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?



? The Apprentice will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Laboratory Technician course with an approved Apprenticeship training provider

? Training will be delivered in a blended format, with online learning and face to face sessions taking place in the workplace.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?



? Sibelco UK Ltd has a proud history of training apprentices over many years with many previous apprentices working in the business. We aim to try and work with all of our Apprentices after they have completed and passed their Apprenticeship. Where this is not possible we will provide support to the Apprentice to assist them in finding another role within the industry.
