Apprentice Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner

Newcastle upon Tyne, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Level 5 Early Years Apprenticeship Standard

About the company:

Our story began in 1996, when we opened St. Gabriel's Nursery in Heaton with a heartfelt vision: to create a haven where children could flourish in a nurturing, family-like atmosphere. We saw a need for a nursery that felt less like a facility and more like an extension of home - a place where the sound of giggling filled the air, where curious minds were sparked by hands-on exploration, and where every child felt the embrace of a caring community. We believe in fostering a love of learning through play-based activities, encouraging children to explore their creativity and discover the world around them.

We are looking for a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprentice

As an Early Years Lead Practitioner, you will be dedicated to supporting children's development in a fun, nurturing and inclusive environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and energetic team within a nursery full of life - a place where children are actively learning, playing, and exploring the world around them.

You'll become part of a friendly, professional team committed to providing every child with the highest standard of care, along with exceptional teaching and learning experiences, guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

What will you be doing:

Lead by example in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5. Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of engaging activities that promote children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework. Work closely with your room leader and management team to maintain an inspiring, safe, and nurturing nursery environment. Guide and support colleagues in delivering best practice and positive interactions with children. Build warm, professional relationships with parents and carers, sharing information to support each child's progress and well-being. Contribute to observations, assessments, and planning to ensure every child's individual needs are met. Reflect on your own practice, take part in training, and apply your learning as you work towards your Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner apprenticeship.

We are looking for someone that:

Has GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) as minimum. Ideally holds the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and/or has a minimum of 6 to 12-months' experience working in a nursery. Has a warm, caring and nurturing personality. The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues. Has great verbal and written communication skills, especially when recording observations or reporting concerns. Works well as part of a collaborative team.

What qualification will you get?

At the end of the apprenticeship, you will receive a Level 5 Early Years Apprenticeship Standard as well as a First Aid qualification in paediatrics.
