Apprentice - Library Team Leader
Salary: 26,612 per annum
Hours: Full time / 37 hours per week
Location: Based at Leagrave Library with work across other Luton libraries as required
Progression: Permanent role upon successful completion, with salary increase

About the role
Are you passionate about libraries, learning, and community engagement? We're looking for an Apprentice - Library Team Leader to support the day-to-day operations of Leagrave Library, help lead a small team, and contribute to the delivery of excellent customer service.
This hands-on apprenticeship is designed to help you grow into a confident team leader while working towards a recognised leadership qualification. Upon successful completion, you'll be offered a permanent position with increased pay.
This apprenticeship will run for a total of 18 months including 3 months End-Point Assessment (EPA).
What you'll be doing
Support the supervision and motivation of library staff and volunteers
Assist in planning and delivering events, activities, and outreach programmes
Taking responsibility for daily and weekly Health & Safety checks and reporting issues
Help maintain excellent customer service standards
Contribute to stock management and the use of library systems
Learn about operational planning and community engagement
