Stannah is looking to recruit ambitious Apprentice Lift Engineers to join our Maintenance and Repair division.

As an Apprentice Lift Engineer, you will be closely supported and mentored by our qualified Lift Engineers and internal training department allowing you to gain the skills and experience that you need to succeed in your career and become a qualified Lift Engineer.

Over a period of 36 - 42 months you will complete our apprenticeship programme which will involve a mixture of practical learning and further education allowing you to achieve an NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (Maintenance and Repair)

On a day-to-day basis, you will shadow our Lift Engineers by attending servicing and repair jobs on a variety of passenger and goods carrying lifts which will support your theoretical-based learning and development.

This position is based from our Bristol Service Branch however opportunities in other locations are available. to search for other opportunities.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shadow qualified Engineers assisting with the servicing and repair of lifts.
  • Attend distance learning courses and complete coursework on time and to a high standard
  • Attend training and mentoring sessions, both physical and online
  • Participate in at least 20% off-the-job training
  • Demonstrate the aptitude and behaviours of a future Stannah Engineer.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Achieved a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 - 9 (A-C) passes in Maths, English
  • Have a keen interest in engineering or practical experience working in a related role.
Applications are to be submitted by 31st March. Interviews will take place in April 2023 with the view of successful candidates starting in July 2023.
