Real responsibility from day one
You won't be watching from the sidelines. You'll be out with experienced engineers learning practical skills on actual installations, working with real customers, and solving genuine problems. You'll develop both technical and customer service skills.
Clear career progression
Complete your Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, become a qualified LPG Engineer.
Accompany experienced engineers on installations, inspections, and maintenance work
Learn to identify different types of LPG vessels, components, and safety equipment
Complete your initial safety certifications and training modules
Begin your Level 3 Apprenticeship coursework with our training provider
Get to know your mentor and the wider engineering team
Months 6-24: Building independence
Assist with 10-year vessel testing and annual safety inspections
Start completing simpler installation and maintenance tasks with supervision
Respond to emergency callouts alongside your mentor
Develop your customer communication and problem-solving skills
Months 24+: Becoming qualified
Take on more complex installations and repairs with decreasing supervision
Complete your apprenticeship and achieve professional engineering qualifications
Work toward full LPG engineer status and Gas Safe registration

This apprenticeship is rewarding but demanding and we want to be honest about the role:
You must always maintain high safety standards - this is non-negotiable when working with LPG
You'll work outdoors in all weather conditions - rain, cold, and heat
Some evening and weekend work is required (with enhanced overtime pay rates)
Occasional overnight stays may be required for specialist jobs or training courses
You'll work across multiple sites, not from one fixed location
